FAQ

Which filter media is best for my application?

There are general conventions on media use. For instance, dry, large particles like wood dust, generally take 80/20 filter media.

Nano fiber releases particles better and is commonly used for finer, dry particulate.

Spunbond polyester is the only fibrous filter media that's washable. It's more resistant to abrasives.

PTFE coated media sheds dust and can be effective for stickier particulate but is a more fragile media.

90-99.99% efficiency filters are classified as DOP (90-95%) or HEPA (95%+) and are used as afterfilters. Many dust collectors have add-on HEPA or DOP retrofit kits if they don't already come factory installed.
